Sr. Marketing Manager (Business Consulting):
The professional sells and executes consulting engagements for service
providers or strategic companies.
Doing so:
• He/she provides advice, guidance and support to external
customers implementing business and technology solutions to maximize
shareholder value creation.
• He/she helps customers to identify the strategic issues facing
them and to define their business drivers and market goals to improve
organizational performance and long term competitiveness, and to
successfully navigate through critical business changes and address complex
issues.
• He /she conducts financial, marketing and technical consulting
studies.
• He/she identifies and explores opportunities for business
improvement using services solutions. Ensures customer processes are
optimized to provide improved business results.
Typically reports to: Marketing Director
Key Responsibilities:
• The professional sells consulting engagements that cover
different types of activity. He/She supports and contributes to business
development activities, as well as to pre-sales efforts by capturing
customer's needs, proposing consulting answers and supporting tendering.
He/She works with consultancy approach: during engagement phase he prepares
the ground for next consultancy phase. He/She informs and trains Huawei
departments to sell business consulting (Account Managers, Technical Sales
Managers, Product Managers, Business developers, etc.)
• The professional is responsible to deliver consulting
engagements, managing them from end to end: time, cost, resources,
deliverable, customer satisfaction, risks… Engagements can be:
1. Customer transformation support: deliver strategy studies to
customer's executive management by using advanced skills in consulting and
customer problem solving, as well as competence from other experts, to
create customer value. Understand the customer's expectations and needs in
order to act as the advocate and trusted advisor on its future strategy and
positioning.
Strategy consulting may cover market, technology, economic studies, business
case development and regulatory environment analysis;
2. Economic Modeling & Business Case engagements : create
customer specific business cases to evaluate projects costs, revenues,
financing, risks and sensitivity, and justify impact, planning and financial
feasibility of strategic plan;
3. End-User Marketing Assistance engagements: Assist operators in
launching new services or improving their marketing (audit and
repositioning). Marketing assistance includes market and competition
assessment, market segmentation, definition of end-user service offers and
packages, pricing, distribution and communication.
• Using consultative selling methodology, he/she contributes to
business development activities of complex solutions and services in key
accounts: Takes profit of consulting skills and experience acquired on
consulting engagement to help win major deals and takes advantage of senior
and board client level relationships to create and win new business for

Responsibilities:
· Role within the CALA Professional Services Regional team. Working

Skills and Knowledge:
· Extensive understanding and experience within the Telecom and IT
industry.
· Project Management skills and a broad understanding of project
management principles
· Strong level of analytical problem solving skills to identify and
diagnose problems and issues
· Leadership skills with ability to lead project teams.
· Strong communication skills (verbal and in writing) to interact with
team members and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor Degree or similar in Information Technology, Computer
Science or Telecommunications
· Minimum 7 years IT/Telecommunications industry experience.
· Minimum 5 years project management experience in managing large
customer implementation projects.
· Experience in consulting environment with significant client contact.
· Project Management certification preferred.
