JOB FAMILY SAP Analyst
BUSINESS PROCESS Financials - Cost Center / Profit Center / Profitability Mgmt. Reporting Analyst
BASIC FUNCTION OF THE WORK GROUP
Resources will be needed to fulfill either base support or project roles.
In the support role, analysts will be part of a global team providing application support for the Financials Controlling processes used by client business users in the Everest SAP system (3.1H) IPES SAP system (4.0B) and possibly, in the America South SAP system (4.0B) or Europe (ECC 6.0). Individuals in the work group perform base support by responding to problem tickets and service requests made by users.
In the project role analysts will be part of a global project team responsible for implementing the basic global Financial design as developed in STRIPES (ECC 6.0) or IPES (4.0B) while configuring or customizing the system to meet any predefined functionality gaps or region-specific business processes.

BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS • Part of a global team spanning the Americas, Europe and Asia.
• Responsibilities include analyzing and resolving issues related to support or project development following procedures and controls defined by client.
• Responsible for learning and maintaining those configuration and customization settings which are the basis for the global Financial design.
• Capable of using SAP Support Portal as a source of correction for reported problems.
• Provides consultation to other COE process teams such as Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash (SD) and Supply Chain where use of the FI CO module overlaps with MM and SD.
• Provides consultation to ABAP program development resources regarding program development and corrections.
• Performs integrated testing of problem corrections, changes and enhancements, from Unit Individual tests through User Acceptance.
• Maintains batch job variants.
• Implement CO configuration updates or changes via transport change management process.
• Responsible for following client Safety / Security & Controls / Change Management, etc. methodologies including documentation and stewardship.
• Capable of developing Functional Specification based on user requirements.
• Able to develop system or work procedure documentation.
• Can perform Knowledge Transfer training to technical team members or Business end-user.
• Added benefit if able to provide consulting across other CO or FI SAP processes.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• University degree.
• Experience with multiple SAP releases including 3.1H, 4.0 and ECC 6.0 is desired.
• Knowledge of SAP CO (CO-OM-CCA, CO-OM-CEL, CO-OM-OPA, CO-PA) module functionality including:
o Cost Centers / Groups
o Primary / Secondary Cost Elements / Groups
o Internal & Plant Maintenance Orders / Groups / Settlement
o Assessments / Cycles / Segments
o Distributions / Cycles / Segments
o Complex Upstream allocation flows and implications from Production Sharing Agreements and Joint Interest Accounting
o Activity Types
o Statistical Key Figures
o CCA Budgeting / Planning
o Profit Centers / Groups
o PCA Validations / Substitutions (0KEM)
o PCA User Exits / Custom ABAP application (e.g., monthly ASTM correction (ZAST) app using 1KEL)
o Configuration of characteristics
o Configuration of derivation rules
o Configuration of valuation items, including SD interface
o Assessments
o Summarization levels
o Variable groups
o Report line structures, including building formulas
o ReportWriter - create/maintain/convert reports
o ABAP Query - create/maintain/convert reports
o Month-end close processing (e.g., FICO Reconciliation)
o Batch Job interface processing
o OSS notes analysis / implementation
o Knowledge of archiving related processes is a plus
• Course work and/or experience with basic accounting principles.
• Speak, read and write English fluently.

• Ability to work remotely from other team members, internal service providers and customers.
• Ability to work with less experienced analysts in order to develop SAP problem solving, support and technical skills.
• Strong analytical capability to comprehend and support complex processes based on standard SAP configuration as well as customizations utilizing work flow.
• Ability to learn and support a number of Specialized management reporting scenarios used by financial stewards throughout the company. Must grasp general concepts of Business Warehouse backend reporting and impact of ERP changes.
• Ability to learn and apply client control standards to these processes.
COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT
BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT SAP R/3, version 3.1H, 4.0B, ECC 6.0.
• LotusNotes, Windows XP, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint are a must.
• Remedy, Netmeeting/Sametime, Instant Messaging, GlobalShare, Solution Manager.
Provide support to Financial Process.
Global Financial Accounting is the primary client but others include Upstream and Downstream (Ref./Mktg./Supply) business users.
